The Law Office of Matthew B. Pavone

Notice of Retirement

After almost forty years as an attorney, I am retiring from the practice of law.  It has been both my pleasure and my honor to have served the people of the State of California for these many years, initially as a federal prosecutor and then as a criminal defense attorney in private practice.

I am no longer accepting new legal matters and the Law Offices of Matthew B. Pavone will cease when I retire.  If you need legal assistance, I encourage you to contact your county’s Bar Association for Lawyer Referral and Information Services.

If I am currently representing you in a matter, you will be contacted directly to arrange for a successor attorney to take over your case or I will work with you to ensure a smooth transition to an attorney of your choice.

If you are a former client, it has been my policy to return all personal items from files to clients and to keep a copy of the client file for a period of ten years.  If you do not claim your case file, I will continue to store the closed case until the ten-year retention is complete.  At that time, I will destroy the files.  If this is not acceptable, or you would like to make special arrangements for the disposal of your case files, you must let me know not later than May 31, 2019.

Please contact me if you have any questions.  Until May 31, 2019, you can leave a message for me at 415.209.9610.  After that date, you may leave a message for me at 415.827.8675.

Thank you,

Matthew B. Pavone, Attorney-at-Law
